Common questions
The questions families ask us most.
If your question isn't here, please ask. The best questions are the ones we haven't been asked yet.
Yes. We are paid a referral fee by the community when a family we've helped chooses to move in. The fee is the same across communities in our network, so it never influences our recommendations. You'll never receive a bill from us.
No. We're based in Sitka, Kentucky, but we help families across the United States. We have especially deep relationships with communities in Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, and West Virginia.
When a family is coming out of a hospital stay, we can usually share a focused shortlist within 24 hours. When there's no urgency, we move at your pace — even if that's months.
Assisted living provides help with daily activities like bathing, dressing, and medication. Memory care is a secure, specialized environment with staff trained specifically in dementia and Alzheimer's care. Many communities offer both.
We point eligible veterans and surviving spouses to trusted, certified VA benefits consultants who handle the application for benefits like Aid & Attendance. We don't file the paperwork ourselves.
No. We follow up to answer questions and to listen — not to push. Some families decide in a week. Others take six months. Both are okay.
Then we keep looking, or we honestly tell you that we don't think we have a good match for your situation and refer you elsewhere. We'd rather lose a placement than make the wrong one.
We visit each one in person. We talk to current residents and their families when possible. We pay attention to staff turnover, smells, food, and how residents are treated when no one important is watching.
